A few weeks ago I was incredibly shocked and delighted to receive the news that The Keep had been shortlisted by the Ethical Fashion Forum’s SOURCE Awards, in their Retail Category.
The SOURCE Awards recognise excellence in 12 different categories, from design innovation to brand leadership across women’s, men’s, accessories, and children’s wear, sustainable supply/manufacture, retail, and individual contribution.
The Independent Boutique / Sustainable Brand Platform Award is open to all independent retailers, online or bricks and mortar, selling more than one sustainable fashion brand. Judges of the award are looking for businesses that have created retail platforms for sustainable brands, and who’ve used clever curation, robust brand selection criteria, and innovative marketing techniques to bring sustainable fashion into mainstream markets.
Finalists from each category benefit from recognition across the fashion industry as leaders in both fashion and sustainability terms. Last year’s winners included (from various categories): Honest By, Livia Firth, Safia Minney and ASOS‘s Green Room, whilst this year’s awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 3rd December at the House of Lords.
To be shortlisted after only 8 months has come as a great surprise, and the evening will be a fantastic opprtunity to meet many of the industry’s most influential and inspiring brands / individuals currently working to bring sustainable fashion to the mainstream.
