Saturday 11th May marks a worldwide celebration of all things Fair Trade. Endorsed by the World Fair Trade Organization, World Fair Trade Day is the first global campaign for The Fair Trade movement connecting producers and customers around the world.
As a result Fair Trade producers, their organizations, local and international marketing organizations, exporters, importers, wholesalers, retailers, volunteers and citizens will celebrate Fair Trade in diverse events worldwide.
To mark the day, The Keep challenges you to do one thing in support of Fair Trade, an action that will directly benefit the lives of the most vulnerable. To help you achieve this little challenge, here are a few ideas:
(in reverse order of preference)
1) Drink a Fair Trade tea/coffee
2) Buy a bunch of Fair Trade bananas
3) Eat a Fair Trade chocolate bar
4) Buy yourself / a significant other a Fair Trade piece of treasure from The Keep
..and for anyone who comes into the shop in Brixton Village drinking a Fair Trade Tea/Coffee, holding a Fair Trade bunch of bananas whilst munching a Fair Trade chocolate bar (or vice versa)…there will be a 15% discount!
So go forth and C.E.L.E.B.R.A.T.E! x
