Based in Swaziland, all their products are hand made by local women who are employed on a full time basis with permanent contracts giving job security and a living wage. Many of the artisans were previously unemployed and have 7 dependants, on average, to support.
Central to the brands ethos is the view that craftsmanship and ethical production could prove to be a vital economic sector for Africa.
By developing innovative techniques combined with locally sourced environmentally friendly materials, Quazi Design are changing the perception of recycled materials, whilst also acting as an advocate for fair trade principles.
